Casey Wang
Casey Wang (she/her) is a mental health counselor. Casey believes in the journey of feeling, dealing, and healing in therapy. Whatever thoughts, feelings, or urges bring you to therapy are welcome guests. Together, you will slow down, take a closer look, and listen to what each part of you want to say. Behind every so-called “problem” there is often a deeper longing or unmet need. As you make room for your inner experiences, the burden may begin to be released, and change may gradually happen. Casey works from a person-centered, strengths-based approach and integrates therapeutic modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Motivational Interviewing to meet the unique needs of each client. She supports her clients with concerns such as interpersonal relationships, family dynamics, grief and loss, trauma, self-esteem, acculturation, stress, and mood challenges. While working with Casey you will move forward with gentle curiosity together. As trust builds, she may offer a different lens, and you will examine patterns that may no longer serve you. The journey of self-exploration can be challenging. Learning to sit with discomfort and respond flexibly is essential for growth. Casey works with systemic awareness, understanding how cultural factors shape personal beliefs and reinforce the stigma around mental illness. She understands therapy is not only about sitting in a chair and threading together the past, present, and future, but also about understanding how laws, healthcare, education, politics, social welfare, and other societal structures affect our lives. Casey is bilingual in Mandarin and English.
