GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

Avenues Mental Health Counseling

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under federal law, clients who do not have insurance or who choose not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected healthcare costs.

This estimate outlines anticipated charges for therapy services.

What the Estimate Includes

The Good Faith Estimate will include:

  • Session fees

  • Expected frequency of sessions

  • Estimated total costs based on treatment expectations

Actual costs may vary depending on individual treatment needs.

Dispute Process

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.

You may contact the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to begin a dispute resolution process within 120 days of receiving the bill.
