Julia Saltzman
Julia Saltzman (she/her) is a creative arts and dance movement therapist. Julia practices from a trauma-informed lens and has experience working with children and adolescents with psychiatric diagnoses, IEPs, and Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as adults navigating substance use disorders. Starting therapy can feel challenging, even a bit unfamiliar, especially when opening to someone new. But healing doesn’t have to start with words alone. Julia believes safety is often cultivated through movement—movement around us, within us, and most importantly, movement generated by us. Julia often integrates Creative Arts Therapy into sessions, especially when verbal processing feels difficult—sometimes, words simply aren’t enough. Through dance/movement, art-making, and other expressive modalities, you can access deeper emotional layers that open the door to insight and healing. With a background in both dance and neuroscience, Julia brings a strong foundation in the mind-body connection, whether you’re engaging in verbal reflection, creative expression, or a blend of both. For many, dance becomes more than just expression—it’s catharsis. It’s a way to release what’s held inside, and a way to choose how to move forward. Julia’s goal is to support you as you co-create a treatment plan that honors your unique needs and strengths. Together, you’ll build an approach that feels safe, supportive, and grounded in meaningful emotional work. Wherever you are in your journey, you don’t have to walk it alone. Julia is here to support you—with care, creativity, and compassion.
