Octavio Diaz

Octavio Diaz (he/him) is a mental health counselor. Octavio's approach to therapy is to encourage reflection while helping clients achieve self-awareness and emotional growth. Octavio provides a warm, supportive, non-judgmental, and compassionate space. Together you'll delve into old patterns and themes while addressing current difficulties in your life. As a Latinx therapist, Octavio understands the challenges and stigmas that exist with addressing mental health concerns. His experiences as a Hispanic/Latinx individual provides a unique perspective in working with individuals living with trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, issues with self-worth, and relationship challenges. Octavio’s approach is trauma-informed, sex-positive, relational, explorative, and goal-oriented. He integrates Psychodynamic therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and CBT. Octavio is experienced and committed to his work with marginalized populations such as LGBTQIA+ community, immigrants, and BIPOC. Octavio primarily works with individuals, both adults and adolescents as well as couples.  Octavio has a passion for Equine therapy and has been working in this capacity for several years.
