Avenues Mental Health Counseling
Purpose of Services
Avenues Mental Health Counseling provides outpatient mental health services intended to support emotional wellness, personal growth, and psychological health.
Participation in therapy is voluntary and collaborative.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is important to us. Information shared during therapy is confidential except where disclosure is required or permitted by law, including:
Risk of harm to self or others
Suspected abuse or neglect
Court orders or legal requirements
Medical emergencies

Communication
Communication outside scheduled sessions should be limited to administrative matters such as scheduling or billing.
Electronic communication, including email or text messaging, may carry privacy risks despite reasonable safeguards.
Emergencies
Avenues Mental Health Counseling does not provide crisis or emergency services.

Professional Boundaries
Therapeutic relationships are professional in nature. Therapists do not engage in social relationships, dual relationships, or interactions outside the therapeutic setting that could compromise care.
Termination of Services
Clients may discontinue therapy at any time. Therapists may recommend termination or referral if services are no longer clinically appropriate or if treatment needs exceed the scope of the practice.
